This post is long overdue, but I need to publicly congratulate Courtney and Tito on their engagement on February 12th! After being together for 5 years, they're finally tying the knot :)

Tito planned a surprise birthday party for Courtney on Valentine's day where they unexpectedly surprised us with the big news! We're all very excited for them and can't wait for the wedding.

Friday-Sunday of Timex Team Camp

After another fantastic breakfast at the Timex Performance Center Friday morning, we headed to the Meadowlands Stadium for more excitement.

We immediately walked into the coach's corner where all the TVs were displaying Timex land each of our other sponsors.

We were then lead into the Giant's locker room where we found all our new clothing and swag!

It's like Christmas with all the stuff we receive!

Yeah...I was kind of excited :)

I was even more excited to hang out with my XTERRA Timex boys!

This was the first of many team pics. We look pretty good, huh?!

Friday evening consisted of a great round of cocktails with another delicious dinner and our logo on the Giant's jumbo-tron!

After dinner we had the pleasure of listening to the infamous Bob Babbitt and Dick Hoyt as well as numerous presentations pertaining to the Timex Multisport's 10 year anniversary. It was also really fun seeing all of the different race jerseys from each of the 10 years!

Saturday was a very relaxed day with lots of time to work on our group presentations for marketing ideas of the new Timex Ironman Race Trainer Pro Heart Race Monitor. We also had a round robin of group presentations from Social Media to Sports Nutrition.

Sunday was filled with LOTS of photos. Team pics, individual pics, and of course, pics with the world's best mechanic - Doug Berner. He said we weren't allowed to leave until he got a pic with his 2 favorite girls!

This photo, courtesy of Roger Thompson, shows the final supper (or lunch) of the 2011 Timex Multisport Team Camp. What an amazing time it was! Big thanks to everyone who made it possible. 2011, here we come...

Team Timex Camp 2011 has begun!

After a smooth and easy flight to Newark, NJ with teammates Will, Barry and Jessica, my most favorite mechanic in the entire world - DJB (Doug Berner) was waiting in a big van to pick us up! What a way to start the camp?! We then headed to the hotel then shortly rounded back up for the initial ''meet and greet'' at the Timex Performance Center with an incredible dinner. I almost forgot how amazing the food is here :)

Following the delicious meal, Keith lead some great introductions of all the staff and media that were attending the weekend's festivities then gave the stage to Ronnie Barnes of the NY Giants to talk about sport injuries as they relate to triathletes and football players. He is such an amazing person and speaks with such passion...I love it! Unlike the ''Jersey Shore'' skit we had last year, the big surprise this year was a play on Oprah's favorite things. Several Timex and Team Sports members shared some of their favorite things that they wanted each of us to have...

Paul Bernstein of Timex said that he likes to be extremely punctual and that he would like us to be as well with our new Timex/iPod Alarm Clock!!!

Tristan Brown - team manager, said he likes to be a beach bum and in order for all of us to look like beach babes and beach dudes, we all needed Timex Multisport Team beach towels :)

Jason Tillinghast of Timex said he knows how important it is to train with heart rate, especially as he prepares for IM Lake Placid this year and wanted all of us to as well with our brand new Timex Ironman Race Trainer Pro Heart Rate Monitors!

And lastly, Herbie Calves of Timex said that listening to music is ''food for the soul'' and that each of us should have a spankin' new iPod with Timex Multisport Team engraved on the back :)

Coming to camp is not only exciting because it gives so many of us the opportunity to catch up personally as all teammates are scattered all over the world and do not always race on the same circuit, but it's like Christmas! Thank you so much for everything you do for us Timex!

A Productive Weekend!

After being on the road racing and finding warm places to ride for the past couple weeks, we needed a weekend to just get stuff done. We cleaned like we've never cleaned before, did lots of bike maintenance, re-hung the bikes on more secure hooks in the garage, caught up on work and even managed to get a little ride and run in!

Since we have an exciting event on Valentine's Day evening, we decided to splurge a night early! Mmmmm....who doesn't love strawberries dipped in chocolate :)

Fun Stuff!

After my free trial of satellite radio ran up in my Audi, I decided it wasn't really worth spending $150 for the year to renew it as I haven't even put 1500 miles on my car in over 5 months. However, when I got a promotion in the mail to renew it for half the price, I decided to just go for it.

What I didn't know was that for $2.99/mo extra, you could add Sirius to your phone and computer so you can listen to it absolutely anywhere. I'm so excited and now Bryce can listen to all the Jason Ellis he wants!

Happy Girl!

Hooray! I got my new iPhone for Verizon and it's the BOMB! There were 3 simple steps in the box that guided me through transferring all my contacts, shutting off my old phone, then activating the iPhone. It was so easy and the phone has been nothing but amazing! THANK YOU VZW FOR FINALLY MAKING THIS HAPPEN :)

These are two shots from this weekend's race on Saturday...thought you might enjoy!

Back Racing Moto

After a smooth flight from Denver to Phoenix, the boys picked me up from the airport Friday afternoon. We went directly to the race site to mingle and pick up our race packets then got some food, found our hotel and went to bed early for Saturday's race.

The race itself was fun but a frustrating day for me as I hadn't been on my bike much and I made a small mistake that got my bike beyond stuck and I had to wait almost 20 minutes for someone to bail me out. No injuries, just stupidity. Luckily, I had my super sweet helper Kolten Barlow keeping me in check between loops! Thanks Kolten.

Bryce had a decent day finishing 18th overall with a HUGE pro field. Justin, on the other hand, had a little encounter with the dreaded Arizona cactus. He crashed right into one when pinned in 4th gear (that's going really fast). We ended up picking quills out of his body for over an hour with pliers while he did everything he could not to lose it. I can't even imagine how bad that hurt but from his expressions, that was nothing I wanted to deal with which is why I was beyond careful not to crash into that crap.

Although I was stuck for what seemed like forever, I somehow managed to finish 3rd out of 6 girls for the day and actually felt awesome. I didn't push it but rather had a great time, helped out others and just cruised like I promised myself I would.

Most of our races are only one day events but this weekend had two separate races on Saturday and Sunday. Bryce and I were both tired and a bit beat up from Saturday but went into Sunday with great attitudes and ready for a fun and safe day!

The terrain in Arizona is very dry, sandy and extremely rocky. The course had a tons of great single track and lots of challenging sections which made the race so fun. We rode it one direction on Saturday then the other direction on Sunday!

I happen to hit one of 3 trees on the course during my first lap on Sunday and smashed my thumb pretty good but other than that, I absolutely crushed each of the other laps. I felt so great riding that I stepped it up and actually started to race and take each corner like it actually meant something to me. I guess it worked out pretty well because I ended up with the win for the day by over 6 minutes and my overall time would have been good enough for the win on Saturday had I not gotten stuck with my bike upside down forever :) Bryce had a killer second day of racing as well coming home with a 14th overall on the day. The competition among the guys down there is just ridiculous so a weekend with points on both days is phenomenal this early. Awesome job Buddy!

A HUGE thanks to Justin for being the ''pit bitch'' on Sunday. He made the tough decision not to race since his whole body was bruised, swollen and still numb from trying to make out with several cacti on Saturday. He now knows how it feels to be a racer on the sideline and how bad it sucks. However, he did a great job getting me and my bike through the race and driving us all over town. Karma is on your side JP, you're gonna rock your next race!

The first REAL workout in forever!!!

Yesterday was a very exciting day for me! For the time since July, I was able to complete the usual Neal Henderson Coaching crew's Wednesday bike workout at the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine. Although I had to set my LT watts embarrassingly low and put a slick on my MTB to stay in a more comfortable position, I was able to finish and that is absolutely HUGE for me! It was also amazing to step off the bike without the 'OMG, I'm about to pass out feeling'' as well. I've still got numerous hoops to jump through until I'm back ''training'', but days like these are priceless right now! I'm thinking that that this is proof that my health is finally starting to go in the right direction. Hooray...the baby steps have begun :)

Total Sucker!

iPhone 4. Verizon. It begins.

Yep, I'm totally setting an alarm to wake up at 1am MST to order my iPhone for Verizon tonight! I've been eligible for an upgrade on my Blackberry for over a year but have been waiting for the iPhone to be available on the only network that actually works! Whooohoooo!

In other news, it's been so freaking cold in Boulder that the house can't seem to stay above 60 degrees. Our roommate Joe refuses to turn on the heat in his room but when he woke up in the middle of the night and realized it was 45 degrees, he finally gave in. I, on the other hand, decided to get the space heater from the garage and plop it right next to my desk :) Just to give you an idea of how cold it really is, read below. PS, that number does not include windchill!

From 9 News Denver: The mercury dropped to -17 degrees on Wednesday morning, just a tick off the record low temperature for Groundhog's Day in the Mile High City.
