Since the running has been non existent for over a year and my hatred for the pool has grown significantly, I've been spending lots of hours on the bike and loving every second of it.
We've been having some amazing weather so it's not hard to get motivated to go play in the snow/sunshine. Friday afternoon Tom and I went up the Canyon and over Poorman's on the mountain bikes. It was soooooo nice!
Tom really wanted some prime blog space so he took this wonderful pic of himself. Happy Tommy T?!?!
Saturday was another fun day in the saddle with Miss Tingle. We needed to ride long on the road so we decided to go out to Berthoud and see the boys at the moto track!
We made a few detours getting out there but definitely had some pretty good laughs and ideas for that matter. Don't be surprised if you hear of a 'Giant Compound' with a moto/bmx/mtb/running track, a 4 lane swimming and a little bed and breakfast in the near future. Guess that's what happens when you ride on country roads for 4.5hrs!!!
Pictures courtesy of Cherry Tingle's XXX Crackberry...you should have seen the pics she had to delete to take these! WOW :)

Super Busy
Yes, we'll forever be busy with this silly house and all the ridiculous projects we have taken on, but I'm slammed with work stuff too.
It's tax season and it's actually been incredibly nice outside so trying to fit long bike rides, lots of work and playing (or working if you're Bryce) on the house has been making my days incredibly long and tiring.
Of course I love every second of it, but I really don't have much else to write about and I won't hear the end of it until I post some pics from the past weekend's project of laying bamboo flooring throughout the house. It's obviously super dirty and the place is a mess, but you get the point. Once I swiffer my little heart out and put the furniture in place, I'll post some better images. Big thanks to Bryce and the Binghams for putting in some serious hours of labor this weekend...it looks AMAZING!

Total Old School!
Scott Tietzel and I have been planning another Mario Kart Tournament but because the house isn't completely done yet, we figured a small secret practice would hold us over.
Friday evening we had people over to play Mario Kart on N64. However, I found my original Nintendo while rummaging through boxes.
Not only did I find some hilarious games, the 'Power Pad' was also discovered.
I'm sure you can only imagine the ridiculousness that came out of that!!!

Are you sick of pics from the new house yet?!?
I know it's a bit boring, but other than some insignificant training and lots of accounting work, the house is pretty much all that's been going on lately.
The newest is that we finally finished up all the cabinets and put fun black knobs on each of them!
The microwave now has it's own little home on the wall...
The refrigerator has a lovely white border of cabinetry...
And lastly, Bryce finally finished up the small drywall section on the trim beneath the bar. He's quite the wall texturer...haha!

More Fun Stuff!
We went to the Rocky Mountain Enduro Circuit banquet on Saturday evening where we got to catch up with all of Bryce's moto friends. They even used his picture on one of the race's trophies!!! What a rockstar :)
We've also been super busy working on the house...as we will be for the rest of our lives...
The bar is finally built and ready to have the granite mounted. We also got the pendent lights hung for a great added finish.
The bamboo is also on it's way! The first couple rows in the living room are positioned and we plan on getting a few more cranked out each night this upcoming week.
The best part of the house is finally starting to take shape as well. I got all the bikes hung up and a few things organized. Next step is to get the old appliances sold and out of there so we can finally park both vehicles in it!

Eye Surgery #2 Complete
Thursday morning I had my second round of PRK at the Beyer Laser Center. It was only half as bad as last time (only because I had one eye done instead of two) but it was still pretty rough.
Big thanks again to everyone for helping get the house rolling.
Hamity made us able to hook up all the new appliances...
Brent and Barbara worked their butt's off painting and finishing up the backsplash in the kitchen...
Bryce and I got all the cabinets put together...
And my Momma made sure I got all the meds and drops needed for a perfect recovery from the eye surgery.
We're almost done with the kitchen and painting the main floor and very much ready to lay the bamboo flooring this upcoming weekend.

We're officially homeowners...
...and broke for the next 30 years!
After the signing on Dec. 31, Bryce's parents drove over from Vail and we immediately started the remodel. Initially we just wanted to put in some tile, make a hole in the wall for a bar and lay some granite and tile on the counters but as usual, many other issues arose and we ended up upgrading much more than anticipated :)
It's been an absolute adventure and super fun. Big thanks to the Binghams who have worked around the clock for 4 days straight, Ryan Hamity for all the electrical and Billy Radecky for his construction expertise.
Click on the link below to see some of the pics. I'll keep posting as we continue the process. I lost my camera cord during the move so I'm a bit behind on the updates but I'm back on track now!
Happy New Year to all :)
