Yes, I really did!

I've been going through a really obnoxious spurt of losing or breaking everything I own. No, it's definitely not the first time this has happened and I can guarantee it won't be the last either. I lost my Ipod Shuffle last week and because I purchased it new on Ebay a few years ago for $30, I just smacked my wrist and said oh well, it's not that much to replace. Little did I know, Apple came out with a 3rd Generation that no one seems to like so the 2nd Generation ones have become hot items. You can't find a new one anywhere for under $100 and they only retailed for $40. At any rate, I ended up playing the bidding game on Ebay and won the one above for $68. It's used and didn't come with headphones! I know it's crazy, but it's the best MP3 player for cycling and running out there. At least it's red and matches everything I own :)

An absolutely AMAZING weekend!

It started early Saturday morning with a beautiful drive through the canyon in Golden. There's been tons of rain so everything was really green! Very rare for Colorado.

However, our drive turned a bit messy once we hit the Eisenhower tunnel. From here to Wolcott, it was a total blizzard. Oh so fun in a 2-wheel drive van...ahhhh.

We finally arrived at McCoy, a small little place tucked away in the mountains and immediately jumped on the mountain bikes.

The views were gorgeous and the company was perfect. A great spin out for the legs for Sunday's big race!

We then headed back to the van to join up with some friends for a little moto. Eric and Bryce have been riding out here for years but for some of us, it was the first time we got to explore some kick ass trail.

Check out the video above for some sweet footage of us riding via the GoPro cam mounted on Bryce's chest protector. Note my sweet run off the slick trail around minute 7 :)

Later that night, the Bingham's took us out to dinner at La Tour in Vail. It's the first time since I did work for the restaurants that I have had a meal like that. WOW. I'm pretty sure, life does get much better than this!

First thing Sunday morning, we headed out for a short jog from B's house in Edwards. I've yet to experience a 'great' jog without at least one thing bothering this spring but Sunday I finally did :) For the first time since 2008, I actually had a runner's high!!! By far the highlight of the weekend!

Since we were still 2.5hrs away from the site of the mountain bike race, Momma Bingham made us a delicious array of goodies for the road - oatmeal/fruit/nuts, egg mcmuffin sandwiches and a whole loaf of chocolate chip banana bread...are we spoiled or what?

After a fun drive to Fruita, unfortunately, the next 30 minutes really really stunk. I got geared up, rode down to registration, presented my pro triathlon license and got denied from racing with the pro women or even the CAT 1 women. Apparently with these races, you must have a UCI license to race in either of those categories and all the others had already began racing. I argued with the official for a good 15min but got nowhere. I was really upset but quickly got over it and decided to just go ride the 31 mile course anyway. Instead of playing on his dirt bike, Bryce joined me for almost 4 hours on the trail.

We couldn't have had a more fun time just cruising, laughing and enjoying the sun...well maybe too much as we're both fried, but hey, totally worth it! The drive home was long with really bad weather, but we finally made it. Cheers to a killer weekend!

My turn!

To have a sexy looking dirt bike :)

Bryce had some custom graphics made with my favorite number, my name, the Timex logo and lots of room for me to place stickers of all my other sponsors!!! Hehe...it looks so sweet now :)

It's Tingle's 26th Birthday!

...and what better way to celebrate than with vanilla vodka and coke, peanut butter/chocolate bars, a little Mario Kart and LOTS of laughs!

I'm pretty sure other than me kicking everyone's butt in Mario Kart, the entire evening was composed of ridiculous stories about shitting and peeing...I'm not kidding. It kind of got started by Tingle seeing the sample of the Go Girl apparatus on the counter which then lead to all the ridiculous. I can't even start to explain what this thing is so click on the logo above and knock yourself out.

Let's just say that demonstrations on how NOT to use the product were a highlight of the night! Happy Birthday Missy :)

First Race of the Year

Even though I had this killer new bike, sexy red gear and a wonderful support group, I definitely wasn't mentally or physically ready for the first race of the year...but who is?

However, I sucked it up, got into the mode and rode my bike out to Louisville (home of Miss Tingle) for the annual Louisville Crit. It's 50min of hard riding, it can't be THAT bad, right?!?!

I wasn't nervous one bit, just didn't feel like I was ready to be hammering out huge efforts and really putting the foot to the pedal. It was a good thing I knew several of the girls there because it made it seem just like last year when I had all the confidence in the world :) After the gun went off, we all packed together for an hour of fun around a 0.6mi loop with sharp turns and mild hills. I found myself at the front early in the race and at about 15min made a bit of a small move (which was really stupid) and unfortunately smashed my legs/lungs a little more than I thought. I ended up getting popped off the lead group for the entire race chasing as hard as I could to get back on. Finally, with 3 laps to go, I hooked back up with the leaders and somehow made my way to the front AGAIN...hmmm...I knew the sprinting legs were non-existent so I just tried to mix it up in the back and hammer out the second to last lap and see what happened during the final lap. As planned, I was completely toasted in the sprint but happy I finished where I did...rough way to begin the season, but hey, it's over and now I'm ready to begin racing hard!

Big thanks to Bryce who helped get everything ready for me. He even drove out with extra food and clothing and cheered me on so hard until I caught back on...I think he may have needed a little sunscreen :)

This is for real...

So Bryce and I were going for a walk on the brand new bike path behind our house and noticed this sign on one of the buildings...

As you know, Colorado passed the bill allowing the sale of Marijuana for medical use. You may not know that every other day a new dispensary pops up in Boulder.

Click on the logo above to check out how absolutely ridiculous this stuff is :)

MORE TOYS!!!!

I forgot to mention that we had a new roommate move in this past week. He's not only a rockstar pro cyclist, but an absolutely awesome guy! He stayed up until 11pm tonight helping me build my new road bike! Big Thanks to Darren Lill from the Fly V Australia Cycling Team :) Stay tuned for more pics my sexy new ride!

Shane Watts Dirtwise Riding School

After lots of thought, I decided not to race the Boulder Roubaix and get my moto learning skills on for 2 straight days with one of the world's best riders.

Not only was it an absolute blast, it was super informative and I'm pretty sure my riding has improved immensely over last 2 days.

I learned how to rail corners, ride up narly/steep hills, attempt to wheelie, you name it!

We even got to do a bit of 'drag racing'...okay, they're actually just starts but getting the opportunity to shoot off the line with 3 others with a rev-ed up engine is REALLY fun! Especially when you're good friends with the ones you're racing! What a killer weekend :)

Baby Steps!!!

I know it may not be as exciting to everyone else as it is to myself, but this afternoon I was able to jog on land for the first time in many many months without any pain whatsoever. I made sure to warm up with a solid 2hr ride then jumped on the treadmill at a snail's pace so I couldn't go any faster than a trot. Luckily everything worked out great and hopefully this is my first clue that more consistent running training is around the corner. I'm so ready to be skinny, fast and fit like I was in the pic above...hehe!

A little surprise for the best boyfriend EVER!!!

Until yesterday Bryce has not stopped talking about how badly he wanted the new 2010 KTM 450 XC-W. Little did he know, I had contacted his shop sponsor and ordered one for him a few weeks ago. I told a few people and luckily they were all able to keep it a secret so when he discovered it in his van, he was completely taken away. Brad and Allen actually hid in the van while I asked Bryce to go grab something out of it and they got the entire expression on camera when he realized what was in there. I'll post the footage later but figured I'd throw at least one good pic up. I'll get some more this weekend when we go play at the track all day on Saturday and Sunday!

CU Tri Team Timex Talk

Barry Siff, Will Kelsay and myself went over to the University of Colorado's campus and chatted with those attending the Collegiate Triathlon Nationals this evening.

As always, lots of good stories were told and some great tips and advice were given in regards to race preparation, transitioning, how to battle the 'I can't go on' feeling, etc.

We had some fun questions, raffled off a watch and gave away tons of jerseys that Will had brought. It's always nice staying connected with the program that gave me the opportunity to get involved in the sport. GO BUFFS!!!

Easter at the Moto Track

Alan Stillwell invited Bryce, myself and a few of our good friends out to a private MX track to rip it up and enjoy some good BBQ yesterday afternoon.

You better believe we weren't going to miss this opportunity!

Of course Ray had to show off his fancy freestyle skills. I tried doing something similar but totally ate shit. I pulled some crazy acrobatic stunt that was the entertainment of the day for everyone else! Sorry no pics...or video :)

Since the weather was absolutely perfect, Bryce attempted to work on his tan.

Hunny, you look much cuter here :)

Cocktails on 6th Part 2

After a stellar evening of fun and dancing around the holidays, Allen decided to extend the fun and have a second 'Cocktails on 6th' party this past weekend!

Although the cocktails weren't flowing like they were the time before, there was still lots of good times being had by all.

As always, Bryce and I made a ruckus on the dance floor...

...while Allen and Kevin got their extreme dance moves on in sweet Bear costumes! Absolutely hilarious.

April Fool's!

When I woke up this morning, I honestly couldn't stop thinking about how I was going to get Bryce on April Fool's Day...then it hit me!

Right after he arrived at work, I called his cell, almost in tears, explaining how the washer had completely flooded the entire basement! I went into great detail then we decided on several different actions that took a good 10-15min. He was super concerned and totally freaking out...I couldn't hold it in any longer and when he finally asked if he wanted me to come home, I replied ''HECK YEA...so I can see the look on your face when I say APRIL FOOL'S"!!!

Let's just say I pretty much got hung up on and received text messages all day relating to how pissed he was at me and how I was sleeping on the couch, etc! Oh gotta love it :)
